This is exactly what I mean. Not enough creative thinking and too much conformity. What could you do to serve your community? This is the question most entrepreneurs ask. Then they go about doing it.
At best, a job is a stepping stone with educational opportunities. Typically, it is little more than a survival tool.

Why shouldn’t a woman or man want to have a job? There are plenty who choose not to and are now brudens of society. We get jobs to survive. We get jobs to help keep balance in the national economy. We get jobs for money so that we can eventually have our own business. It is ingrained in us to survive at all costs. It only matters how smart one is with their money and their life.

Georgiapeach, it’s interesting that we are so brainwashed as a society that we believe a woman (or man) has to get a job. A very famous woman named Lydia made clothing for royalty. She did fabulously for her entire household. She had her own business and not a job.

That may be your opinion but I think it’s amazing when a woman can have a family and work. In fact it helps the house hold more since there is more money coming into the family. This brings advantages for the children since more money can be spent for education and entertainment purposes. I know some don’t want to recognize this but it takes more than love to raise a child. Working is helping a family’s economy.

I can’t think of anything more meaningful than a strong woman who is her husband’s greatest advisor, helper and supporter. Who devotes herself to her family’s economy rather than a job working for another man’s economy.

That comment actually proved why I have had enough of the “women in power” concept:
1) All the foul language= so pretentious and “look at me. See how independent I am. I can be hard and talk badass”.
And
2) Personally I thought ‘being a modern woman’ was about the right to CHOOSE. But you’re ridiculing, other women for not being like you.
C’mon now. I smell hypocrite.
oh, and admitting to not wanting to necessary be ‘as good as men’ these days takes anything but weakness!

it’s foolish that you blame people’s inability to work out their marital problems on women who choose to make their lives more meaningful. if you want to wallow in the kitchen that’s your priority..there are many factors that stem from failed marriages..if you haven’t caught a clue then I should point out that maybe the spouse’s weren’t as compatible as they thought they were. I’m an independent woman and someone else’s failed marriage is neither my fault or problem.

The family unit is breaking down. Men’s brains are structured differently, not only do they have a SLIGHT intelligence advantage (on average, I’ve noticed), but they’re more logical, have different motivators and are aggressive. Since I’m a doormat, I always get trapped by the stupid ones, and since they make me crazy, I always embarrass them. They get what they deserve.

Actually women are as strong as males, however society socializes women to repress their aggression and see themselves as a victim, rather then a potentional threat. Men are socialized to repress their emotions to some degree and embrace their aggression. Yes men have advantages when it comes to physical strength, however so do women, hopefully in the future women will learn that it’s truly best to only depend on yourself and not a man. We’ve come a long way though.
