WOMEN’S OPINION…Would you fall for any of the pick up methods used on VH1′s the Pick Up Artist?
I just got a quick question for all of the women. Would any of the methods for picking up women used by Mystery work on any of you? If an average guy in a club/lounge used them how effective would they be with women?
Also, what is the best way for a guy to pick up a woman? Please do not say "Hi, my name is……" that is so lame. What is a good conversation starter with women to spark a conversation (fashion, clothes, dental products, ect)?

Never seen it. But in answer to your last question, sparking a conversation about dental products definitely would not do it. In fact, she would probably think you are a total oddball. Complimenting someone is always nice and a good way to get the ball rolling, but it needs to be a sincere compliment. Women can see right through the fakes. We know damn well you are just trying to pick us up. So whatever you do say, try to sound sincere. And not like a Pick Up Artist. IE: "You look absolutely stunning in that dress!" As opposed to, "Wow! I just LOVE the way you fill out that dress!" Another thing would be to use a little humor. Women like funny guys…not goofy funny, quick witted funny! I once met a guy in a bar…only once!…who sat down at our table, leaned in to me and said, "Ok. Don’t look now, but I think that guy leaning over on the cigarette machine is going to hit on you. Let’s just pretend we’re together, and I’m sure he’ll leave you alone. Don’t worry. I’m going to protect you from all these losers." He said it with a totally straight face, and I thought it was totally cute. Turned out the guy he was referring to was one of his buddies and in on the prank. Long story short, we ended up dating for four years. His approach was so inventive and brave, and he said it with such conviction, how could I say no? A little humor goes a long way.
Usually something thats in the general media. A "Hot Topic" sorta say. And also, be cocky and funny.
i have been hurt so many times now that i would not fall for them I have learned my lesson.
The best way to pick up a woman is to talk her being yourself. Also, talk about music. Sounds lame, but it really works. Once you start, you will start talking about more totally random things. Good luck

It wouldn’t work on me. You’d get to talk to me, but i wouldn’t give u my number. But then, I wouldn’t respond to a guy who tried to pick me up in a club. I’m there to have fun. Getting hit on is flattering, but I"m not gonna act on it. U’d have better luck if u hit on me in a coffeeshop and we talked for an hour first. Then u’d get my e-mail address, and through e-mail, we’d work up to u getting my #. Just go up and talk to her I guess. I’ve always fallen for my guy friends, so they already knew me, and were comfortable around me. I guess with me, if u aren’t trying to pick me up, u just might have a chance.
I use to, but as you get older and wiser, to know better!
To answer your question, Yes the best way to talk to a women is to walk up and tell her your name.(sorry) Then you tell her what kind of work you do, where you go to school (if you do) talk about what she wearing (if you know something about it) and just be yourself and ask her out. You’ll find when you do walk away, you will not hear laughter.
some methods work. most don’t (except you’re not a serious girl). Watch Hitch starring Will Smith. That made more sense than VHI’s show
Ha, ha, the pick-up methods on that show are funny actually. I don’t think they’d ever work though.
The best way for a guy to get a girl’s attention is by being funny. Humor is a great icebreaker. And just a tiny bit of cockiness is fun, too. I don’t think talking about fashion, clothes and dental products is fun. That’s really weird.
